Exercising is a goal for many of us, but it can be hard to get started, finding a wheelchair accessible gym etc. We have completed several new exercise videos for individuals with paraplegia. Our “How To” exercise videos focuses on exercises that can be done either at home or at the gym using exercise bands (therabands). This month our “How To” videos show Mike (T9) complete a shoulder external rotation, triceps strengthening, a lat pull back.

If you are new to exercise, please see our “Before you begin exercise” factsheet for additional exercise info. Also remember to consult with your physician if you plan on starting a new exercise routine.

Next month we will have additional exercise videos specific to individuals with paraplegia. Exercise videos specific to individuals with tetraplegia will be available beginning of 2014.
